Is President Biden's debacle at the presidential debate, the Supreme Court decision on immunity, and an attempted assassination of former President Trump enough to overthrow democracy in the United States? It certainly seems so. There's no time like the present to review what's at stake. Rightly so, all the news organizations are condemning what happened on July 13. Now it appears like the” perfect storm” for Republicans. The forces that would like to see our country divided and weakened are elated. We need two fresh new candidates to run for president/vice president of the United States. It appears that's not going to happen.
President Biden is gone. What is gonna happen? There will be the tickets of Trump/Vance versus Harris/ ? which will be a disaster for our democratic way of life. Just read Project 2025! The Democrats need fresh candidates to go up against a Trump/Vance ticket. President Biden should step down immediately and allow V. P. Kamala Harris to take the reins of the presidency for the remainder of the term.
At the Democratic Convention, allow the delegates to agree on two presidential and vice-presidential candidates. A Spector/Whitmer, Whitmer/Kelly or Harris/Whitmer ticket would be strong adversarial contenders. We could only hope that the Democratic Party and its different factions and agendas come together and pick the right ticket to win for our country’s political future.
