So now there’s going to be a meeting between two of the world’s biggest criminals to decide the fate of Ukraine—without Ukraine, or even its European neighbors, at the table. One of the cowards in the Senate, Lindsey Graham, predicts there will be a “land swap.”
Haven’t we learned anything from history? Apparently not.
At the end of World War II, the victorious powers pored over the maps of the Near and Middle East and proceeded to “create” countries like Iran, Iraq, and Syria. Israel followed; the Palestinians’ fate and territory were never addressed or defined—as if there were no Palestinians at all. We are still dealing with the consequences of this “creation” today.
Perhaps Graham and his fellow cowards should be made aware of the fact that Putin will consider any land conquest a victory—and encouragement to invade other sovereign European countries.
While all this is going on, China is watching quietly. In terms of a “land swap,” what will Taiwan swap? Half the island? One-third? The capital, Taipei? Or the entire island? What will China consider a “fair” swap?
Trump and Putin must be made to understand that the world no longer revolves around any one or two individuals—certainly not individuals with their records and credentials. Graham is “confident” that Trump and Putin will arrive at an “honorable” peace agreement. Using the word “honorable” in the same sentence as the names of these two criminals is, for starters, an anathema.
Any arrangement concerning Ukraine, without Ukraine at the table, will guarantee a long period of war—not peace.
This should make the military–industrial war profiteers like Raytheon, Boeing, and Lockheed very, very happy indeed.
As a side benefit for the criminal in the White House, this also serves as another distraction from the economic and Epstein scandals he is up to his neck in.
