The “Mass Media” through lightening-speed technology has given the “have-nots” and “radicals”a giant voice.
The mostly White minority, middle-aged, Republicans want an autocracy with low taxes/de- regulations, strong military/police, a Christian foundation, gun rights, etc. ruling their country. It echos, to use some analogies, “Feudalism” / “The South” protecting their property. History repeating itself. But, you can understand all their concerns.
Republicans see the mostly Black, Latino, LGBTQ, Asian, young white Democrats wanting higher taxes for the super rich, reparations, universal health care, free education up to two years of college, humane immigration policy, abortion rights etc. It appears Democrats (another analogy) “Serfs” / “The North” want a little more of our country’s “Fruits”. We all live on the same “Land.” Independents want to know, "What will it take to live in harmony or (perhaps) ‘almost harmony?’"
