Our Generation's Responsibility by The Gent

This Generation’s Responsibility is to preserve “Mother Earth.”

Future generations are going to think we were a selfish, decadent society! Especially, when they realize, we have to leave this planet because of how others treated it.

We are spending huge sums of money to go back to the Moon and to place people on Mars. It is not time yet! We are giving huge sums of money to our athletes, entertainers and CEOs. We have billionaires worth over 200 billion dollars. Yet, of our 7 billion plus population on earth, over 1 billion human beings are hungry and thirsty everyday. Shouldn't we feed and give them access to clean water? "Mother Earth" is being poisoned everyday by our industrial world. Shouldn't we clean "house?" We are threatening to destroy our neighbors both domestic and abroad. Shouldn't we be shaking hands? Do we really want to destroy this beautiful earth and deprive our children and grandchildren of its beauty and possibilities? Who will start the "intervention?"

PS. When we finally colonize in outer space, let's be able to come back the "Mother Earth" and use it as a "Galaxy Disneyland."
