To my immigrant friends, you came to our "Grand Party", hoping for a piece of our beautiful birthday cake called the "United States of America." What you can't do is just take a piece and run off into a "corner". You have to sit down and eat it with us. Have a "cup of coffee or tea" and learn to speak with us, enjoy our culture and idiosyncrasies. Like the ingredients of a cake with its flour, butter, eggs, milk, salt, etc. much went into our alluring "U.S.A. Cake" like courage, sacrifice, toil, resourcefulness, intelligence, diplomacy, empathy, death, etc. Don't hide in the "shadows" with your slice, come into the "sunlight" with us.
