SMITHTOWN LANDING MEN'S GOLF ASSOC. CHAMPIONSHIPS (in progress)

On 08/14, 08/15 the Smithtown Landing Men’s Golf Association, during the heart of a fantastic golf season, conducted the season’s Club Championship for each flight. The winners going into the semi-final round are as follows:

In the Champion Flight, David Capo, (former 6X champion) will be playing against, affable and excellent golfer, Emmett Cassidy while Russ Galindo (won in a very tight matches vs. Bob Schugman) will go against Ed Haliasz (One of this year’s President’s Cup winners).

In, A Flight, The very fine golfer Glenn Downing will play lefty, Howard Cohen while Thomas Elliot (won in 20 holes vs. Ken Wolf) goes against Robert Brickley.

In B Flight, Ron (still “Hot”) Hottinger will challenge Chris Shannon and Richard Glasheen (A President’s Cup winner) vs. SLMGA, club president, Saul Rosenthal.

In, C Flight, Matt Keltos (16th seed) vs. Bruce Falkenberg (strong competitor) and (Ageless) Bob Popko vs. (Gentleman golfer) Paul Catalano.

In, D Flight, Raymond Winslow (still playing well) goes against (Big hitting) Tony Mauro and Angelo DiFrancisco (Last year’s D flight Champ) will play against (Long time member) Jimmy Starke.
