SLMGA `HIGHLIGHT NEWS`

The gentleman golfer you see in the picture below is Bob Hagan. If you haven’t played with Bob on the golf course, perhaps you have seen him (using his stage name, Kevin Hagan) in such major movies as Michael Clayton, The Messenger, Sweet Home Alabama and the one that his mother would have been proud of, The Greatest, where Bob played a Pastor. He has performed in many successful TV shows and stage productions. It was my privilege to play with Bob on Saturday, (although I had to leave due to heat exhaustion after the 10th hole). He is an encyclopedia of fun stories and history that no SLMGA member or person should miss. He was born in 1935 and has been a member and a former president of the SLMGA since 1980. Bob is our oldest member. He is still hitting the golf ball with authority and playing a very fine game. I hope you all have the privilege to play and talk with Bob before he decides to put the golf clubs to rest. By the way, Bob played all 18 holes and contributed greatly to his team on that very hot and humid Saturday morning. JG (07/18/21)
