Transfitnation has partnered with Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI) to launch the Spring Into Action Wellness Challenge. This 8-week step-tracking challenge aims to improve the health of the local community while raising funds for DDI and promoting neurodiversity.

The Spring Into Action Wellness Challenge will run from May 8 to June 30, 2023 and involves tracking steps, exercise minutes and move calories using an app on your phone. Participants can join at any time throughout the challenge and the app will sync all health data from the start date of the wellness challenge. Prizes, which include training packages and gift cards to local businesses, will be awarded to the participants with the most steps.

"We are thrilled to partner with DDI to raise awareness for neurodiversity," said Steve Dell’Amore, owner of Transfitnation. "Our team and clients are the driving force behind our community support. To date we have raised over $650.00 to support DDI and their plan to build therapeutic gardens for their residents."

DDI, a non-profit organization founded in 1961, serves over 1,700 children and adults with autism and developmental disabilities. The therapeutic gardens provided by DDI promote self-esteem, sensory calmness, and wonder among those they serve.

Transfitnation has a history of supporting local charities, raising $1673.48 for the Smithtown Children’s Foundation in Q1 2023. They also sponsored the Smithtown Children’s Foundation polar plunge on March 4, 2023.
