Look Left, Look Right, Step Up by the Gent

We must see ourselves as a diversified “World Family” on this ‘Mother Earth’ in order to save it. Let’s look at our ”Family” as young and old members each struggling with the dynamics of life. Metaphorically, each person, group, neighborhood, country, and race are at different stages of development. We crawl, walk, run, bicycle, race a car, and build a train, plane, and rocket. We grow from a cave to a tent/shelter, to a group village to individual units/houses for our families, and eventually to independent countries. I do not care about people's color, religion, nationality, or sexual persuasion. Let’s allow people (our “Family” members) less fortunate or at a different stage of development to be heard and have the opportunity to better their lives. WE WON’T AGREE WITH MANY THINGS. After all, the family unit of children, teenagers, adolescents, and parents is always at various stages of conflict and decision-making. We have to see all others in the same dynamic way.

Any policy that deprives migrants fleeing persecution or death of their chance to seek the safety of asylum is not a “middle ground.” It is a failure to uphold the U.S. asylum laws passed by Congress, a failure to fulfill our promises as signatories of the UNHCR Refugee Convention and Protocols, and a failure to live up to our American ideals to be a leader in the world for human rights and human dignity. We are all brothers and sisters on this “Mother Earth.” Let’s give Inherent Dignity to All in order for us to save the World.

Taking care of those who helped you make billions or who continue to work hard to keep you a billionaire or make you even more always should be taken care of. Profound & generous monetary rewards are some of the greatest ways to show & express appreciation.
I’ve read a book called The Dream Manager by Matthew Kelly. It’s a parable about a company whose morals & culture were declining & work quality was even getting worse and retention was at an all-time low, so the owner reached out for help & someone suggested hiring a person called the Dream Manager. The Dream Manager of course generated many surveys, then from the results he met with every single employee individually. The employees were asked what their dreams were, “write a list of 100 dreams you have.” Then they began obtaining help to reach these dreams…
For example some wanted to own their own home, one wanted to spend more time with family, some had trips they wanted to take, etc. Done✔️
Then some wanted financial advice on how to save for college for their children, better health & medical for their elderly parents, etc. Done✔️
The point is to see your people, find out what really motivates them or what are their struggles, and provide resources they may not be knowledgeable about or have the means or connections that would be most helpful right now (sometimes it’s deeper than money.).
I always love the stories about the commencement speakers who at the end of their talk they say I’m taking care of all the graduates' college loans. Or billionaires who pay the tuition for the next freshman class. Tugging at the heartstrings and knowing & connecting on a personal level…That’s money well, purposefully, intentionally, and meaningfully spent. CG
