We all see it, especially during the Holiday🎄Season. Men and women standing at a traffic light with a sign that basically says, “Help.” Of course, several random thoughts go through your mind in no specific order. One being, “How sad to revert to begging at a traffic signal.” The second, “Do I have access to some quick change that I can give them.” The third, “They probably drive away at night in a brand new Mercedes Benz!” My heartfelt thought is the one I adhere to. That man or woman (notice I do not say that poor man or woman) is standing on the corner cold, scrubby looking, with thoughts that I would not want. Do they have a needy child to feed? How long can they get away with begging?
I have a twenty dollar bill on hand and call them over to the car. I wish them a Merry 🎄 Christmas with a wink and they say, “thank you.” A Christmas gift was delivered. I feel good and hope a child will eat a little better tonight. Happy Holidays to all of you and peace to Ukraine and all the other countries around the globe in turmoil. God Bless this good earth. JG
