At the request of the St. James Fairfield Civic Association, Legislator Rob Trotta organized a Senior Information/Health Fair at the complex. Numerous residents participated in the free event where they obtained Emergency ID Cards from the Sheriff’s Office, learned about a phone for people with hearing difficulties from Clear Caption or had their blood pressure screened by staff from St. Catherine of Siena Hospital. Other organizations participating included Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), St. Johnland Nursing Home, Senior Net, Town of Smithtown Seniors Department, Suffolk County Department of Health Services and the County’s Office of the Aging.

Legislator Trotta was appreciative of all the organizations attending and for sharing their program information and resources with the residents of Fairfield. “We did this event for several years before the pandemic hit so I am grateful to Fairfield for inviting us again to provide valuable information to the residents of Fairfield. I hope we can do it next year,” said Legislator Rob Trotta.
