She cared for you when you couldn’t do it yourself. She showed you how to sense and avoid danger. When there was fear, kept you safe. She served you, your favorite food and not-so-favorite to keep you healthy. She was your first teacher. She taught you when to say please and thank you. Showed you how to dress, how to judge, how to love, and at times how to hate. She was your first love. You wanted to impress her. You knew someone cared for you. She would give you her blood, guts, and if necessary her life for you. As you got older, she made the chain of love longer and stronger each day. You will travel all around the world but you will never find someone like her. The love and warmth she gives you can never truly be duplicated. A mother’s love is unconditional in a world of conditions. Take the time to love your mother while you can. She is one of a kind. Happy Mother’s Day, Moms.
