DEER PARK, N.Y. - The Famous Food Festival has made its way into Deer Park this year and it delivered over 60 food vendors. Now, this four day event has come to a close and it did not disappoint for its final day.
This event is a traveling organization that provides new and well known vendors a chance to showcase their creative and delicious food. It also allows support to the local businesses. In addition, they include numerous fun activities for the community, according to the festivals website.
All of the festivities took place at the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park. Each of the vendors arrived in either food trucks and/or had their own booths for their creations. They stretched all throughout the Outlet parking lot from waffle stations to barbecue.
Not only did the festival provide food for the people, but they also had many activities for everyone. One example was Alpha Axe Throwing. This organization offered a small axe throwing range for the festival so people can throw axes at targets for their enjoyment. In addition, they also had miniature golf, virtual reality simulations and a rock climbing wall.
Local businesses had their own booths at the festival. Each one offered people their services in order to gain more customers and increase business. Some businesses included Alpha Axe Throwing and New York Party Works.
Live music was given to the people at the festival. On Labor Day, singer-songwriter Valerie Rose performed for everyone with covers of hit songs and her own original work. People had a bite and a show.
Although Labor Day was the last day of the Famous Food Festival, it will be back in the future. No date of a future event has been released yet, but if it comes back again people will know where to go.
