A better lesson of the Gestapo-like tactics being used today is not to label. It is to warn. Democracies erode when expediency tramples rights, when heartless systems make cruelty routine, and when fear becomes policy. U.S. immigration enforcement (ICE) has crossed moral lines. Vigilant oversight to ensure they do not cross legal and constitutional boundaries must prevail. Calling out and showing harm clearly and accurately is how we must proceed. Let us not go backwards in our thinking. JG
