Even after starting Ford Motor Company in 1903, the first cars (Models A, B, C, F, K, N, R, S) didn’t hit mass appeal. Many were too costly or impractical. Ford nearly went under multiple times before perfecting the low-cost, reliable Model T in 1908. He once said, “Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.” It took Henry Ford 9 years to finally get it right. To the outside world he looked like a failure.
