Gregory Bovino, the Border Patrol official who recently led the controversial Southern California immigration enforcement raids, has arrived in Chicago, a new target of the Trump administration's immigration crackdown, according to media sources. In California, Bovino oversaw efforts that had Border Patrol agents — who have been limited to preventing unauthorized U.S. entry and stopping drug trafficking — arresting undocumented immigrants far from U.S. borders. Last week, Bovino said in a video that his team would be "taking this show on the road, to a city near you."
