So now we see Instagram and TicTok among other “Social Media” telling us the proper way to live and at times the not-so-proper way to live. Most of us can decipher right from wrong and understand “reasonable logic” that will assist us when we see it. But then, you view YouTube interviews with so-called “experts”, and what hits you immediately are conspiracy theories that go through the roof. Those theories both frighten and anger me. All “Social Media” does is confuse and segregate people in our country and many other countries.
From the Sumerians to the Greeks to the Romans to the present day, it has always been ruling bodies with democracy-leaning people v. autocratic, control-leaning people. Humanity has always been one way or another, 40% democratic v. 40% autocratic. It’s the other 20% of have-nots that will dictate whether any society or world order will lean toward repression or freedom for the masses. Simply, the poor can not be too needy and the rich can not be too greedy. That principle is simple enough. We must think for ourselves and not be influenced by “gadget technologies!” If we don't our world will go to "hell in a handbasket." The balance of power must always favor freedom.
