So what are we supposed to do? I see all these terrible videos of how we yearly slaughter cows, chickens, pigs, sheep, and turkeys. etc. in the hundreds of thousands. But now comes plant-based substitute meats that taste just like the real thing. I must admit those videos are starting to get to me. An animal that propagates itself and cares for its young must have feelings and a soul. How did we get on this meat kick? Yes, a great steak, hamburger, or hot dog is right up my alley but do we have to kill a mother or father of a particular species to enjoy that meal? I get the survival of the fittest kick! But, there are a few billion people that would literally kill your dog or cat for that "meat meal." This is 2023, why can’t we ask AI to formulate a new tasty menu? We have vehicles on Mars. Why can’t we imitate the things that we like to eat in a healthier and more humane way? I really don’t want to see another cow killed or a pig, turkey, or chicken slaughterhouse on TV. The younger generations have it right. Why kill those sentient mothers and fathers? We certainly can do better in 2023! I think I’ll take a ride to Taco Bell and get a Bean Burrito.
