Butterfly and Bird Festival - Sat Jun 10 10:00 am

Sweetbriar Nature Center

The annual Butterfly and Bird Festival is coming to the Sweetbriar Nature Center.  This event draws thousands of visitors every year. The day is filled with wildlife presentations, craft vendors, food trucks, and musical performances. Second Saturdays Poetry Reading - Sat Jun 10 11:00 am

Its time for the Second Saturdays Poetry Reading, courtesy of the All Souls Church.  The featured poet will be Linda Trott Dickman. Linda is the author of three books of poetry and her poetry has been published in several anthologies. She is the current coordinator of poetry for the Northport Arts Coalition and works with poets of all ages, at the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association, local museums, and leads a poetry workshop at Samantha’s Li’l Bit O’ Heaven coffee house.  The reading will be… [more details]
