They're moments in life when things don’t go your way. It you feel down and depressed. But, today there is a remedy for that: laughter. Today is National Let’s Laugh Day.
As people often say, “Laughter is the best medicine.” From standup comedy to simple puns, it’s good to keep things light. Telling jokes is one of the best ways to get a little comic relief.
According to National Today, the world’s oldest joke can be traced back to 1900 B.C. Laughter can also be contagious. This is why laugh tracks were added to television shows to cue when the audience is supposed to laugh and to indicate when a comedic scene happens. The first American television show to use a laugh track was in 1950, in “The Hank McCune Show.”
