MedRite Urgent Care is a facility that offer its patients a first class medical care experience. They have over 30 facilities across the country and have opened their latest in Smithtown.

The new MedRite center held its grand opening on January 1 attended by Barbara Franco, Executive Director of the Smithtown Chamber of Commerce and Town Supervisor Edward Wehrheim. Both arrived to welcome the new business to the town.

“We wish them all the success and we know that they’re going to be successful here in Smithtown,” Supervisor Wehrheim said.

Simcha Abraham, one of the owners of the new facility, Brett Dean, the Senior Vice President (SVP) Marketing and creative member of the team, the operators of the center Manpreet Dhillon, the physician assistant and Nicole Krieger, the medical assistant were all in attendance.

MedRite treats immediate conditions including minor injuries, asthma attacks, fever, flu, upper respiratory infections, earaches, nose bleeds and stomach flu. They assist with less immediate conditions like STD testings and physical exams. In addition, the center provides “virtual care.”

“It’s similar to tele-medicine but with a little more professional authority than any of your standard tele-medicine,” Dean said. “Plus we have the physical presence of being here and have the ability to do follow up care virtually. So it’s an important component for a lot of people.”

The mission of MedRite is to help people feel better while saving them time. They make it their mission to help treat people in a convenient way.

“I think we live in a world of convenience, but convenience with quality care so feeling better is the ultimate goal,” Dean said.

If someone wants immediate treatment, a physical, a flu shot or even a Covid vaccine, MedRite Urgent Care is now available for all that and more. People can learn more about their treatments, testings and hours through their website.
