Main St. Success Debuts in Smithtown

Main St. Success is a Real Estate career development company which offers basic and continuing education classes for those interested in a career in real estate. The classes lead to becoming a licensed real estate agent.

The business had a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, October 1st at 1:00 pm. Barbara Franco, of the Smithtown Chamber of Commerce, was present for the ceremony. “We sponsor these ribbon cutting ceremonies for new businesses here in Smithtown,” stated Franco. “We want to see these businesses get off to a good start and be successful.”

Main St. Success is co-owned by Brigitte Malik and Matthew Rivera. Brigitte has a background in real estate licensing education and is also a licensed home inspector. Matthew is a licensed home inspector, real estate investor and teaches courses in home inspection. They met when Brigitte attended one of Matthew’s home inspection courses.

The ribbon cutting event was attended by about 30 people, mostly friends of Brigitte and Matthew. Food and refreshments were on hand and a raffle for prizes was held as well.

Malik explained that while real estate is the core business of Main St. Success, they also offer classes and training in home inspection, insurance, and business development. Many of the courses offered are NYS approved. In addition, the office is turn key ready to offer space for events and business functions, whether in person or via remote technology. Other classes include safety certification and income tax preparation. About 200 students have already signed up for classes, most in real estate, said Rivera. 

Malik further discussed they enjoy hosting workshops where experts come speak and offer their respective expertise and experience. Some examples include legal experts, accountants, and financial advisors. “The plan is to host two to three events per month for education and networking,” stated Rivera.
